The new dog

A dog is not a small commitment! They require a lot of training attention and MONEY! You have to find a good vet and get all the vaccinations, spaying/neutering, flea control, annual checkups, training and any other activities that you may want to do with him. Then there are all the unexpected things that come up out of the blue that you are not expecting. Take all these things into account before you purchase that doggy in the window.

1)food, if it is a puppy it is very important to get puppy food

2) toys,toys are important as they provide the pup with something they can chew

3)bitter apple, bitter lime spray. This will help to keep your pup away from things that he is chewing that are not to be chewed

4)kennel, many people think that kennels are cruel but they make a big difference when you are away. Not only will they protect your things but they also protect your dog

5)2 bowls, one for water and one for food(stainless steel is the best)

6)brushes to keep your new dog properly groomed, the earlier you start the better it will be.

Rabbit

1)a large cage, the bigger the better.

2) if they are outdoors they need somewhere to go to get shelter from wind rain or cold

3) hay and rabbit pellets are important, along with this your rabbit should get plenty of fresh greens and water

4) a water bottle

5) something to chew on, a large piece or pine soaked in apple juice works well

6)bedding (it is recommended that you do not use pine or cedar)

7)a large bowl for food, make sure that it is heavy so it will not tip

8)something to put hay up in so it does not fall on the floor and get ruined

9)lots of time and love

 

Guinea Pig

1)a cage, usually if you go to a pet store you will find that the cages are labelled with the appropriet pet for them

2)guinea pig food, this is important as guinea pigs are unable to process their own vitamin c

3)a water bottle

4)hay, it is important for digestion for guinea pigs to have hay in their diet

5)a small bowl for their food

6) bedding, it is highly recomened that you do not use cedar or pine. Use an alternative like paper bedding or care fresh.

7) fresh veggies, don't overdo it cause they may get sick but a small amount of spinich, kale, oranges or other veggies high in vitamin C would be good for them

8) in order for your pig to feel happy he will probably want a house to live in. Carborad will be saoked with urine and chewed in no time but there are plenty of other options for houses plastic igloos available in pet stores make a wonderful home.

Hamster

1)hamster food, you can buy this at the local pet store

2)a cage

3) a water bottle

4)a small bowl for their food

5)bedding this is the same as the guinea pig. It is suggested that you do not use cedar or pine but insteda use an alternative

6)a little house to live in.

7) something to chew (toilet paper tubes, small block of flavoured wood)

8)something to make a bed with, do not use cotton balls or anything with a similar pattern as they may ingest it and this will cause serious problems.

9) a wheel, this is the best part about having hamster watching him run in the wheel

10)lots of time and love

Cat

Before you think about getting a cat you have a lot of expenses to take into acount. You have to find a good vet and take into account the amount that this is going to cost you. You have to get shots, neutereing/spaying flea control and any problems that my arise on top of this. This is a huge commitment as a cat can live well beyond 20 years and needs care constantlythroughout this time. Don' take this commitment lightly!

4) a good vet, make sure to get your cat spayed or neutered

5)cat or kitten food(depending on the age of your animal)
