Weekly at the farm

 

Saturday the 23rd of June : Meet the animals day. Some on down to the farm and join us for some juice and animal crackers. Meet the new animals, learn their names and breeds and have a good time.

Saturday the 30th June: Teddy Bear Picnic. This event is perfect for young kids and the child in you. Come on down to the hands on farm. Bring your teddy bears and a smile. Bring in the first colouring contest of the year in and have your picture on our walls.

Saturday the 7th of July: THE PET SHOW. Come on down to the hands on Farm and bring your furry friends. There will be many different categories to compete in chose from the following. If you are interested you can print the form right off the internet

1. Meet the animals day- come and meet the animals, join us to learn their names and breeds and more fun information

2. Agility Demo, we would like to bring in a group of dogs down to the farm to do an agility demo and possibly help you with any questions that you may have about training your dog. We would also like to bring someone in to demonstrate herding. There is also the possibility of brining in a groomer to demonstrate how to properly groom your pets.

3. Teddy bear picnic-great for the young kinds...bring down your teddy bears and join us for teddy grahams and games

4. Cart rides-if we are able to find someone with a horse and a carriage we would like to bring them down and have a day of rides. Paul Klem with his bee keeping would be something that we would like to do in conjunction with.

5. Photo contest-starting at the beginning of the summer and ending at the end we would like to have a photo contest with various categories and age groups.

6. Pet contest:- the kids bring their animals down and we have a friendly contest which includes such interesting categories as best trick, best tail and best overall pet.

7. Sheep or llamma shearing-we would like to bring out some people to show us how they shear sheep and llamas

8. Horse shoeing demo- a demonstration on how horses are shoed

9. 4-H demonstration- we would like to bring the 4-H club in with some various animals to show us what 4-H is about show us all their animals.
